Take an umbrella, my dear...

I was walking with a friend around the city the other day (we really never know where we are going, just aimlessly strolling here or there) and I never thought we would come across this little street. Such a surprise ~There were umbrellas above us~ I thought it was such a refreshing idea! ^.^

After been satisfied by looking at the umbrellas for some time, my eyes fell on the right! There it was! The most magical coffee shop I have literally ever seen in Thessaloniki!
I mean look at this window~!

It's called Sugar Angel, here is its website: http://www.sugarangel.gr/

They have everything: they serve coffee, hot chocolate, tea, homemade lemonade (delicious!) and they have a range of colourful cakes, cupcakes, tarts, macaroons, birthday cakes, cookies! Everything is in that shop!

It wasn't very expensive either! The atmosphere was very warm and friendly! The waiter was constantly filling our glasses and attending to our needs! It was just a very nice experience! I would totally recommend it to anyone who wants to combine sweets, cakes, and chocolate with an evening out.

There it is! My Red Velvet cake!

Reminisces

I stumbled upon some forgotten fotos I had posted on Flickr some years ago while I was in England, studying a semester at UEA, Nowrich. My laptop had to be wiped out and I lost many fotos at the time but luckily I had posted some online and didn't lose them after all.

 such a nice name~

Cute little shops everywhere!

This was an inn in Sheringham!

In UEA village, there was a place to go for walks next to the river, just behind the buildings. I often found myself drawn to this place and I went there to read on sunny days! I love this place!

This was Nowrich's market.

In UEA campus

These spots were really lovely! I can't wait to visit England and its countryside again!
always in my heart,

A Lovely Surprise

Last summer I was lucky enough to meet a friend who was the most beautiful, wonderful, funniest and happiest person I had ever known! Iris her name, living in Canada. She would stay in my town Thessaloniki, Greece, for a few weeks and work here. We were so compatible characters that needless to say we became inseperable at once. Our meeting was pure luck and so surreal as she often likes to say.

After these weeks had passed and all our little everyday excursions into the city centre's alleys, where small cafes and tavernas lurk, came to an end, Iris was gone. But not our friendship and love for each other!
We promised we would often speak online and make use of this gift of technology, which we did.

Well, nevertheless, I am a lover of traditions, especially those that are not practiced extensively by, let us say, young people, and I feel some kind of magic in mail that prompts me to write letters to communicate with far-away relatives and friends. So I sent her a letter and she sent me one back!
I am so happy about it that I can only share it with you and show you what she got for me.

Quite a lot of things haha

Pocky: Apparently, you give these to your girlfriend or boyfriend; they are delicious!!! little sticks covered in chocolate. This one here, was covered with strawberry chocolate.

This one in dark chocolate!

This is something new to me! I haven't ever seen such a wand; it is rather flexible and it is moving while you're using the end of the wand.

Oil blotting paper:
It is used to wipe off any extra excess of oilness on the face.
It will prove handy during the summer months, especially here in Greece where the sun is super super hot!

OHHH my god!!!! I just love thesee!! I've been meaning to get my hands on these little cuties for a long time! They are absolutely fantastic; the packaging is, noone can doubt that, so cute and girly and they are super moisturizing! They also smell fantastic! My favourite one is Honeysuckle HoneyDew!

Sweet Mint the scent of this one is rather strong

The Body Shop Born Lippy Clementine with Satsuma shimmer
the one on the right: watermelon

A ponytail holder and a cute little phone accesory.

And last but not least, eating these delicious little mushrooms while looking at the products was indeed enjoyable. Always drop in a little sweet with your letters and parcels! It makes the whole experience even sweeter !

lots of love
Have a Happy New Year
